One of the toughest parts about increasing education on AI is the lack of proximity to resources and experts. Her-AI is an after-school outreach programme based in Oxford and operating in London aimed at increasing diversity in AI by engaging school-aged girls from diverse backgrounds. The programme is completely free of cost, working 1 on 1 with schools weekly creating a custom curriculum to fit your students needs. We combine hands-on workshops in schools with mentorship from current Oxford students and researchers.

Participants explore core AI and computer science concepts, hear from role models with diverse academic paths about Oxford, and develop practical skills in a supportive environment. A few times a year, students will visit Oxford for immersive experience days focused on research exposure and university applications.

This initiative raises awareness of AI pathways to UK higher education and pilot an innovative, relationship-driven model for AI skills development outside traditional academic routes.
